I only allow that to be used on your own stories or for special purposes like contests. It tends to decrease the friendly atmosphere if it is widely used.

One other thought... Is there any objection to making available just the histogram of vote counts? It would be interesting (for wierdos like me <G>) to see whether it is a power law distribution and if so, what the parameters of that distribution might be.
