Someone had some problems with how I formatted my latest story when they used zoom to make the type bigger. Erin helped me recode it using a new facility she encoded into the default theme.
<div class="maxwidecol"> Text </div>
The above will make a justified column of text 70 characters wide in the default theme on modern browsers where the column will remain 70 characters wide even when zoomed in and should fail gracefully in other themes and browsers.
If there's still a problem, please communicate here or in PM and don't use the story comments to talk about formatting problems. Thanks.

In fact...
...the layout of pages is a primary tool of typography. Every paper book you've ever seen has had someone choose the exact dimensions of the pages, the fonts used, the size of the fonts, the layout of the margins, and the width of the columns of text. All these choices are important, because the human eye has a limited tolerance for horizontal tracking, and too wide a column, especially with small text, makes text difficult to read and can lead to eyestrain and headache.
This is why newspapers, which typically use small typefaces, also use narrow columns, and large-type books for those who need glasses to read also use a larger page size.
