looking for a story where a family moves to a farm village they stop at an cafe the son notes a cow with clothes hanging off and vwith nail varnish on. the cow was a woman who been transformed. the cow got sent to the farm where the family is going to stay.

I haven't reread the story to be sure, but the plot sounds a lot like Enemyoffun's Welcome to Whisper Pines. A good start to a book and I pray EOF is in a good enough place one day to resume writing it.

That's one of my favorite stories.
If I remember correctly (I'm not going to bother looking it up) the cow was wearing blue nail polish.
This Story
I didn't realize there was still interest in this story. I promised a lot with it and failed to deliver. I think in my mind I promised more but as I wrote it and I realized it kept getting pushed further and further away by my lack of narrative structure, I became very discouraged by it. This story did have an end game but unfortunately, I just could not figure out how to write myself there :(. Then I kept trying to conceive an elaborate future for a series of stories to follow all while still trying to finish this one. In the end, it all imploded on me :(.
