Can anyone point me towards a story called 'Model' ?
It concerns a young man who suddenly finds himself thrust forward onto the catwalk as a model.

Many thanks but whilst that wasn't THE one I shall certainly add it to my list to read.
In truth I hadn't even expected to receive a reply.

Searching on Fictionmaina specifically on the string "the model" there appear three stories by that name a fourth by a fourth writer who has added 2 after since there already was a story posted with the name "The Model".

However, I suspect the story sought is Melanie's which has been mentioned already.

Ronny's Mom thinks he is cute enough to be a male model. The modeling agency thinks otherwise and makes a few suggestions. Ronny has a choice to make to help his struggling family with their money problems. (second story on site name 'Model')
(most of the story is spent in Ronny's Pre-teen years, so the age is marked as such)

After Paul gets a bad hair cut from his barber, his Aunt suggests next time he get it cut at her Salon. Once there he is coaxed into volunteering to be the hair model for a salon apprentice for an upcoming hair competition. Problem is the apprentice is entered in the womens division.
