I think Bru is right - you can identify a piece as a "solo" after you've posted them.

That answers the question, "how."

But I think you need to also think of the "why" - why do you want to identify your story as a "solo."

I've had some long discussions about the purpose of the "solo" identifier with people, and, if you really ARE intending to put up a singular story, you would usually do that by selecting the appropriate classification in the Publication field when you are posting it. All the publication types are all for stand-alone stories, except for three, these being: "Novel Chapter," "Serial Chapter," and "Sequel or Series Episode." If you don't pick these three, this would mean that your post is a stand-alone.

In our chats, we therefore came to the conclusion that, if your story is identified as a "solo," it means that it has no connection to other stories - that it doesn't refer to other stories, et certera, and is not ever going to be, i.e. it is standing alone.

So, if, in future, you'll be referring to your "solo" story, or your "solo" story is actually connected, in some way, to another story, then it's not a solo story, then, is it? And, once it is a solo story, then you can't connect to it with other stories anymore.

I guess you need to be clear about why you want it to become a "solo" story.

Anyway, this is all based on some chats I've had with people, and we may be wrong.
