Kaleigh Way has done something cool with her blog, she's made an author's page with links to take you to the head of each of her serials and to each short story.
Would it be good to have a special entry type for author pages? That way, for authors who made one (or had a friend make one for them), they could all be sorted into a new listing, instead of just the Authors tab on the top of the screen.

Sounds Really Neat Erin, But I Have A Question
Would the new Authors Page link up to their stories at other sites? Reason that I ask is that a few authors here have stories at other sites as well.

Up to the author
Each author could determine that

Yes, A Page with Links Could Be Nice
It would be good if it included the capability to have a 2 or 3 sentence story synopsis (like on Fictionmania) if the author wants to include that information.
Sure :)
That's easy.

Seems worth a trial run
A number of authors here have multiple serials plus various one-offs.
It's worth a try. Anything to aid the reader.

I want to make it easy to do
So it will probably be a fill in the blank kind of thing with room for a roll-your-own area.

Roll Your Own??
I think we'll be getting a new kind of traffic here when Goggle and others pick up THAT lovely turn of phrase :D :D :D
HUGS ERIN!!!!!
I take it that Goggle…
…is for Voyeurs!!! :-D :p
Hugs,
Gabi.
PS A great idea of Kaleigh's, but for someone like me who is very much an UN-geek, I'm not sure how I would do it.

I agree in part at least
But surely, the look and feel should be determined by the author.
Some may want teasers, some may not. Some may want a different look and feel - just like the blogs allow.
Having so said, it IS rather determined by what Erin wants to set up, can set up and system limitations.
Other than that, I think it's a really good idea
NB
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.
I'd like that sort of page for everyone...
And I like Edeyn's idea of standardizing...
I'd been thinking about it for a while, but someone was reading my stories,
and thought they'd read them all... but hadn't. They missed my fairy tales.
To my mind, it would be enough if there were two headings,
one for serials and one for non-serials,
but nothing but titles/links.
That way, it would be easier to create them automatically
rather than by hand.

basic idea sounds cool
A link to the authors name with stories and blogs in separate sections. I guess fairly standard to keep it simple for us simpletons. The only other thing would maybe be a little scribble box where something like a brief Bio could be added and updated as needed....within reason. Sort of a more advanced author listing come title page. Nothing to strain anything or anyone. Kaleighs one looks good.

Fantastic Idea! Yupper, go for it!
Um, just so it is an easy task so this blond can figure it out and do this thing.

"Be Your-Self, So Easy to Say, So Hard to Live!"
Um, like, now how does this, um work?
I'm sooo confused about this new listing, indexy thingie.
I was blonde, from the sun as a little boy, and now I am the other.
Oh like wow, I'm a bald blonde!
As I said earlier, if it helps the reader and if it isn;t apin to implioment and maintain, go for it.
