Just a post to let everyone know I finally found a job. Over the next two weeks I am my family will be settling into a new apartment. I ended up having to go out to the Midland-Odessa area to find a job, but it will do nicely I think.
With the issue of job hunting finally off the table, I am able to devote time and mind to writing again. I am hoping to have chapter 20 of A Little Fox Tale completed by the end of next week.
My apologies. A Little Fox Tale is on a little hiatus right now because I simply have no time to write, or even get on the computer to do more than check my email daily. Shopping for and attending end of school ceremonies, preparing for my replacement at work, and preparing for my move next month is eating up all of my free time. I am hoping that things will calm down a little for the next couple of weeks before getting berserk again as moving day approaches.
I have learned a lot by writing A Little Fox Tale. I had never written fiction before (unless you counted the enlisted evaluations I had to write in the military), and was unsure of the pacing and style. Also, I knew nothing about dialog. Getting my hands on and reading a copy of Inspiration for Writers by Sandy Tritt, and a copy of Mugging the Muse by Holly Lisle helped a lot.
I have become involved in a project that is taking all of my free time. As a result, I have to withdraw my offer to edit for the time being at least. Maybe once this project is finished, I can make the offer again.
I am making myself available to anyone needing an editor to review their writing. My native language is Texan, but I am fairly fluent in American English. All I can offer up for credentials is the fact that I got an A+ in College Freshman English with Composition back in 2003. Examples of my own writing can be found on my LiveJournal site: http://dv8nekomimi.livejournal.com/.
