My two Halloween stories are duds. I'm very sorry about that. I'll try hard to improve my writing and I won't post here again until I do.

I don't think so, I thought they were perfect horror stories mew ^^ The one with the machine is probably going to give me nightmares, or give my muse ideas, or both mew ;_;

That makes me a complete dufus. I read them both, liked them both, voted on both and commented on one. So... I will not post or comment on anything until you have. Must be the bloody weather. Yeah well I'm a narky opinionated bitch, didn't ya know that. Just why are theses stories failures hmmmm? Posted less than a day, comments and reads, modest by some standards perhaps, but not bad all the same.

Kristina

I liked them too!

Even though I didn't comment. I was feeling really down and couldn't make enough brain cell cooperate to write anything. I thought both stories was well done. I do have to disagree about the reality transformation story with Chelsea about it being a horror story. A mad scientist Oops story yes!

hugs!

If you think the stories didn't work...

Try finding an editor to work with. Ask a person or two that you respect to read through your stories and provide suggestions on how to improve them. That said - just because a story doesn't get lots of hits/votes/comments doesn't mean it's not a good story. It could be a WONDERFUL story that folks just haven't found, or that is just in an area that people are not looking for or even posted at a bad time, so is swamped by other posts. (I tell myself this on a regular basis.)

Good Luck,
Annette

Terry,

My Halloween stories are really duds -- since I didn't write them. Seriously, I'm having difficulty finishing that silly SRU-Pixie story that I sent you a while back.

I like your second story. It's a fun 'oops' story that causes mayhem, but doesn't really hurt anyone.

Alas, I haven't read your Phantom Boobs story yet. I have quite a backlog because of my computer problems, and because I have more to do in RL, so I'm just reading the stuff as I can get to it. As it turns out, I'm going through the singles first.

So keep your chin up. Your stories are generating at least as many comments and votes as mine do.

All of us writers have our blue funk days -- even the big hitters like Angharad. I think someone replied in his blog that if you want lots of comments and votes, write something sweet and sappy with a tween-age protagonist and maybe some magic.

come on Terry,

they were good! Better than mine. I couldn't even come up with a t.g. story for the contest,
and that thing I entered feels REALLY weird and out of place. I can't wait until the contest
is over so I can delete it! I hope you will reconsider this "not posting anything",
I'd hate to miss out on the fruits yer imagination + excellent storytelling style.
~~~hugs, Laika
You know...
There are times all of us, and I do mean all of us who write anything at all for anyone, feel exactly that way. Shoot, at one point I nearly dropped out of the Whateley canon group because I didn't think my contributions were up to snuff at the time. The thing is, just remember that writing something, especially fiction, that people will read isn't an easy thing to accomplish. That part you've managed very well, I think.
As for your stories, duds? I don't think so. If I failed to comment, chalk that up to some rather 'interesting things' going on in my RL, and my freely admitted to CRS syndrome on some days. I liked both stories, especially the Phantom Boobs one.
