I have a friend who is transitioning at just a little bit younger than I am. And another who is almost like a mom to me. Hope Springs Eternal!!!

Sadface.

Why does it seem that I'm the only one dealing with Yeti hair?

I'm probably going to have to get laser on my entire body. That's going to be insanely expensive.

Hormones help with it somewhat...

At least that is what I am seeing with my friends. Correct me if I am wrong, but you have been trying home and herbal remedies for transition drugs. I get the impression you have a medical (or at least organic chemistry background). I am taking the following, the first two are the actual estrogen analogs. Finasteride encourages hair growth (I have the opposite problem, massive male pattern baldness), and spiro is the T-Blocker.

estradoil 2 mg, twice daily
medroxyprogesyerone 10 mg
finasteride 5 mg
spironolactone 100 mg, twice daily

Another t-girl friend recommended joining Groupon, they really do have an occasional great deal on laser hair removal. I haven't regretted it.

Well...

I actually am completely self-taught with everything I know *grin*.

Yes I am using mostly herbs. I am also using estradiol and progesterone cream, though we won't mention how I'm getting it, if you know what I mean...

It'd seem I'm not the only one who doesn't seem to respond immediately to just killing the T. It seems that the worst of us need something a little extra... Unfortunately, I'm allergic to the "extra" that's suggested. Or at least, a major constituent. Menthol gives me extremely loose bowels, and it's Spearmint that seems to help the most with Yeti hair.

At least. I always used to be allergic to menthol. But this might just push me into trying my luck with it once more.

As for Groupon, already been there, done that, had my first session, going to be getting my second soon. Unfortunately, I'm not even getting my full face done, the ONLY place nearby that offers laser, IF they're going to be putting a Groupon up, only does up to an area consisting in size of the neck OR the face. So I'm presently getting six sessions on my neck.
