A fascinating radio documentary about being gay and being in prison in the UK, presented by Stephen Fry on Radio 4.
I was astonished at the naivete of some of the contributors, both prisoners and professionals and at the candidness of some of them as well. Women prisoners seem more relaxed about it than men, as do the staff seemingly in women's prisons.
It seems the prison service has a long way to go to enter the C21st. It was also sad there was no mention of what happens to transgender prisoners.
It's available on BBC iplayer for those who can access it.

Stephen Fry has one of those voices
that I just love. I could listen to this man read the phonebook. I listened to a lot of this, but kept zoning out when Mr. Fry spoke.
Gay on the inside
