I was driving to Fort Smith, Arkansas to coduct some business. My daughter called me about 70 miles down the road to tell me that the planes had hit the two towers. It was an extremely depressing day, and I cut my day short. I literally watched service stations jack up the prices $.50 a gallon. It was a horrible time for the country. One that we're not even close to recovering from. There have been over 3000 coalition deaths in Afghanistan since then, plus who knows how many innocent civilians and enemy combatants.

Today, eleven years later I am driving to Fort Smith to conduct a survey. I certainly hope that history does not decide to mimic the past. Hopefully, Murphy is taking a nap.
