It's slow but it the story does appear eventually
It could be their caching setup is acting weird as it is my understanding they added support to cache pages so that time is not wasted recreating a page that has not changed.

it takes about 30-40 seconds at the moment for the server to respond, but hitting a link resets that time.
I'm having better luck on IE
It's still slow. I think AOL isn't helping any. I'll work with IE for a while.

Slow going
I've been to the site several times this afternoon and evening; and pages have been slow to download each time.
If I had a Bot, I'd hammer in the morning...
We've been getting hammered by bots the last few days. Piper keeps trying to tune the firewall to keep most of them out but they are diabolical and keep finding their way back in. And the firewall itself slows things. Today, Piper was occupied with life that does not involve bots and was unable to take much effective action. We hope to have things running more smoothly soon.
AOL is always slow and has other problems.

Is it just the usual crap, like the stuff I have to blacklist out my firewall every morning? Or is this a more targeted attack, perhaps by some group that believes [insert diety here] didn't make us to be the way we obviously are?

Sometimes times fails to connect and times out. Others it just takes forever, I use the newest FireFox.

And here I called up ATT and jacked them up about their crappy DSL service! Oh well, they probably had it coming anyway!

Is a crappy service provider, either DSL or U-verse. Aye, even cell phones ;P
But yeah... I was having issues yesterday too, but I could immediately tell the difference between site lag and service lag - everything else just about was still speedy as lightning.

Humming again...
I'll try and watch this thread, but if anyone else has any more issues, or you think the lag/latency is back let me know.
As of right now, things seem to be humming again after doing a few tweaks.
