I occasionally find that BC is either very slow to respond or not available at all. For example, last night about 1 am BST I couldn't get on at all and the site timed out. It can be often slow to get to the main page but moving within the site can be reasonably fast. Last night it meant I didn't get my 'Bike' bedtime story :(
I assume it's not just me and I wondered if the cause was DoS attacks or simply the popularity of BC. This isn't a complaint, merely an observation that may possibly help the administration if they aren't aware of the problem (or opportunity as we're encouraged to call them :) )
Thanks to all contributors and the admin, especially, of course, Erin Halfelven.

DoS attacks
What DoS attacks?
Time Zone?
1 am BST? We've been on GMT for months. Which part of the Empire are you in?

Blush!
You know how scientists recently revealed that brain deterioration starts to set in at 45? Well, it gets really bad at 72 :) GMT, of course :)
DoS = Denial of Service. It happens when automated systems make heavy demands on a site making it unavailable to real users.

Working on it
As I said in an earlier thread on this topic, Piper and I are working on the problem. And yes, the site went down in the early evening yesterday, my time which would be about the middle of the night in Britain.
Hugs,
Erin
