I love my Xoom
But it is a bit heavy as an ereader - I use the Nook for Android on it. My spouse has a Transformer with a keyboard dock. It is lighter than mine and easier to hold for reading. I also bought three Transformers at work for staffers who travel to client's. The instant-on with access to dropbox files lets them pull up what they need quickly without having to wait for the laptop to boot. And, combined with an Aaxa Tech M2 Micro projector, which takes the HDMI from the tablet, they can do presentations to small groups. I must say, though, that the Transformer Prime looks sweet.

I'll be getting a 3DS soon
I've heard you can surf the web on there. We'll see just how well it works.

If it's anything like my
If it's anything like my DSi; it's pretty limited. I've done some stuff on BigCloset with it; but it's pretty slow and a lot of graphics will crash it. I've gotten the 'out of memory' error lots of times; though usually not on BC. It's workable for reading stories, though, just slow and has a small screen for it.

3DS quality update:
I've been messing with the internet for a bit on my 3DS, and I have to say it handles a lot of things pretty admirably, actually.
Yes, it's slow, but that's more due to us being stuck on satellite internet out here than anything, and I've thrown several of my favorite sites at it -- some relatively graphics intensive -- and it does well with them. The screens are small, but the zoom function fixes that so long as you don't mind scrolling sideways, something the stylus makes pretty simple.
It's actually easier to use than my PSP was back in the day as far as internet is concerned. Then again, it's as powerful as the Wii, so what do you really expect?
