For taking so long to post the final chapter of Assassin. As most of you know I've been fighting a battle with cancer and I think I've won that battle. Things though have had me puzzled. I wonder if the chemo and radiation effect the brain enough to not want to write. I would put off writing and just read stories. My Kindle wasn't any help at all except to help me with my writing when I was able. I found Lee Child and became an addict. His descriptions of an event or scene are incredible. Enough though, I had a good day today and part eight is over fifty-four thousand words, and I think I almost see the end of the story, maybe. I feel there is no excuse for taking seven months before posting the last chapter, but life is what it is and I apologize once again, Arecee

Absolutely they will affect the brain! A lack of focus is a symptom of depression, which is a frequent side-effect of chemotherapy.
Yes, you're a terrible person for not being willing to suffer past your cancer treatment to finish writing a story for us. Horrible, horrible little person! You should have disregarded anything that would have removed your focus.... Wait. That was Karl Marx and Tolstoy. Never mind. Terrible examples.

Hi Arecee, I don't think its the chemo and radiation specifically, it's probably just feeling unwell in general. I've been having medical issues with my arm for a while, I was writing up till my first surgery when my unwell feeling obviously increased and I stopped writing. I've just had surgery a second time on the same arm as it didn't work first time and I feel drained.
I've no energy to write, I read a huge amount but I just dont have any energy to sit and write. I haven't updated my stories in a long time, I want to complete them but until I'm feeling better it's just not gonna happen.
I hope you get confirmation of good news soon hon, it's good to see you're being positive about it.
