Whoo, boy!

Well, in the last month or so things have been cah-RAY-zee for me.

About 25 days ago I turned in my two week's notice at my job at the hotel. I'd just, well, I'd had enough of everything, and of being stuck where I was, and so I decided to push the issue and set myself a date to move back home -- Monday, the fifth of September.

Thinking ahead, I decided to go ahead and fill out an application or two online ahead of time so I'd already have some prospects brewing before the end of my time at the hotel.

This is where things got weird.

Ten days before my set departure time, I get a call from one of my submitted applications. They want me in for an interview a week before my original move date. Like anyone desperate for another job, I agreed, and subsequently ended up in a two-day rush to sort, sell, or pack every item in my possession.

And have since had more amazing luck than I could have ever expected.

I got the job, meaning I'm NOT going to end up being a burden on my parents.

My expired license? Despite being nearly three years out of date, I didn't so much as have to take a written exam to get it reinstated. Now just to learn to drive...

Friday we're calling the student loan people to see if I can get debt forgiveness for the 3000 in loans I have left since I haven't been able to pay them so far and my situation really isn't improving financially that much what with travel costs and such.

On top of all this, the heat wave in Arkansas finally broke, granting me bea-U-tiful sub-ninety degree temperatures.

All I need now is to win the powerball, and I'll be in permanent karmic debt for the rest of my life.

The upside of all this is that I should be getting back to writing/posting soon, so for those few who are still interested, more of my current stories WILL be coming. Not having finances and a place to stay looming over your head is surprisingly liberating, ya know?

Always nice...

It's always (or almost anyway) nice to hear things take a turn for the better. In today's world that doesn't happen nearly often enough.

Best wishes to you, and may "home" be a good situation.

Anne

I'm so glad to see you getting some good news for a change.

Well deserved. You will be in my prayers, not sure if that helps, but you'll be in there. I love to see good things happen to deserving people!

Ole
