So, I've finally let one of the people I know in the real world read 12-String. I respect his opinion, and for some reason I can't quite fathom, thinks I might actually be 'good enough.'

We'll have to see, but in the short term that means that I will be making a different form of the first eleven chapters for publishing.

By different, I mean that I will be altering my references to Sarah.

This is in no way meant as a slight to Megan or her story. It is simply a fact of what can work on it's own, and what can't.

I will have to re-write portions of the story to make it stand more on it's own in these reference portions.

This will not mean a change to the story on this site, however.

And I'm rambling.

I've renumbered the chapters of the second book, to reflect that they're a new beginning, and I penned a closing to chapter eleven that was never there before.

I also removed the 4-th wall breaking dream sequence.

Apparently too many of you thought it was a step too far.

I put it were things like that really belong, in an author's note. It will be much more at home there.

The author's note may or may not make it all the way to my submission to a publisher, but I will at least leave it here.

I am working on the next chapter of 12-String, but it is going slowly. Of course, now that I have a better idea where the second story is going, I might just be able to get it done.
