For those of you who can watch UK television repeats, this one on the Channel4 website may be interesting, as one of the ferret rescuers is a pre-op TS called Kelly. All three of the subjects seem as traumatised as the ferrets they rescue.

See what you think.

Not a reason to dislike them, and some in the US are endangered, BUT I think a ferret or two could decimate a dormouse population. In the US great plains the black footed ferret preys on prairie dogs. Efforts by cattle ranchers to wipe out prairie dogs, using poison, I think, so the cattle won't break legs in prairie dog holes, have caused the endangerment.

Ferrets

Angharad's picture

The origins of ferrets in the UK is uncertain, but probably they derive from European Polecats, with which they will interbreed.

Polecats are quite rare in this part of the world, and more frequently seen in Wales, which is the only place I've ever seen them - sadly dead on the road.

I have nothing against ferrets or the people who keep them - down their trousers or elsewhere.
