Hi folks
Just a reminder that the 5th International Gabycon will be taking place over the weekend of 9-10-11 September 2011 in the Dorchester area.
If you'd like to attend the weekend or even just be a day visitor drop me a line either here or to maddyannebell @ yahoo.com.au so we have some ideas of numbers. We can also point you towards possible accomodation venues.
format is as usual
Friday evening dinner
Saturday bike ride (weather permitting)with various readings - this year it will include stuff from book 8 and book 9!
Sunday day excursion around some of the local attractions
Ang and i look forward to seeing anyone interested there.

There will also be
at least one short story written especially for the event - I might manage two, if I have time.
The last few have been international events having visitors from as far afield as Sheffield and Germany, and last year Wales as well. (I'm Welsh, I know, but I live in stealth in England waiting for the revolution to start when we throw out the Saxons - just waiting for King Arthur to give the word). So unless Arthur gives me the nod, I'll be there waiting to bore the pants off you with my interminable tales - and acting as local guide and translator. They be tockin' Darzit dewn yer moy dir.
Oh bring your bicycle if you come and be prepared for some gentle riding - they have to go slow so an old fart like me can keep up.

dang that big pond and being poor
They've always sounded fun, but there's an awful lot of pond in the way and I haven't any money to take me and my bike out there ;P
Have fun people who live over on that side of the pond.
Man... now you just reminded me of my Gaby withdrawal. Needs moar official/canon Gaby! You left us hanging off quite a cliff imo...

I'll justify the "International" part of the title again this year ;)
B&B is already booked from Thursday to Monday. Are there any recommendations for sightseeing and a place to stay the night in the area around Brussels and Brugge?
I still have to fix the brakes and shift levers on my bike...

A Nice ride around Manchester to finish off the Sparkle weekend.
I expect to be there.

Oh, I so wish I could!
If only to meet the two of you! Unfortunately, I currently can't even travel to Ohio from Michigan, much less England!
