... the Gluteus Maximus
In an attempt to reduce my expenses, so I don't have to work so much overtime, I decided it was time to drop my very expensive cellphone with Verizon and get something less expensive. That sounds like a good thing, yes? There were some drawbacks, the biggest of which is that my entire contact list was lost in the transfer. That wouldn't be bad if I wanted to become a hermit, but then why would I want a cellphone.
Anyway, if any of you had given me your phone number and contact information in the past, or were thinking you'd like to become more friendly in the future and want to give me your phone number and contact information, now is the time. Of course, I wouldn't expect anyone to publicly post anything. However, if you'd like to make an exchange, send me a PM with your information and in turn I'll send you mine.
Hummmm, sounds a little like you show me yours and I'll show you mine, doesn't it? Oh well, I hope we're all a little more mature than that, so NO pictures (that aren't G rated).

have you asked verizon?
when I switched phones, the Verizon shop was able to move all my contacts from my (Canadian carrier) iPhone 3G to my new Android device, which saved me a TON of work. I don't know what they did, they disappeared into the back and it only took a couple of minutes.
If the contacts are still on the old phone, you might take both phones into a Verizon store and asked them if they can help.
Err...
Put sim card in old phone. Transfer contacts to sim card. Move sim card to new phone. Transfer contacts from sim card. Job done.
Verizon doesn't use SIM
Verizon is CDMA so unless you have a "World Phone" (costs extra) which also supports GSM, there are no simcards
