Edeyn It really is amazing what can sound appetizing when you're truly hungry...

I have rice, uncooked pasta, a few cans of various veggies, oatmeal, and a can of enchilada sauce.

I am so hungry. Rice and enchilada sauce with peas and green beans mixed in?

I have money for a box of ramen ($1.96 for 12 packs) but it's so hot... I am going to walk to the grocery store to get it, I think, because that'll give me a bit more option.

Anyway, like I was saying... it's amazing what can actually sound appetizing when you're hungry enough. There's food, it's just the disjointed bits that are left in the cupboard, y'know?

I spent many a night with a nice bowl of canned corn with worchestire suace. You just have to eat!
Besides Rice with Enchilada suace does sound good

Good luck nothing worth have comes easy.

Oatmeal is a thickener,

Oatmeal is a thickener, especially if it's finely ground. Rice, noodles, and steamed veggies are pretty much a reasonable set of starches and vegetables to put together, and then you use the sauce to top it. You don't even need the ramen.

If you can afford ramen, however, you can afford a bag of dried beans, which last longer. Soak overnight, boil, then eat. Beans and rice, plus multivitamin, will keep you going a long time.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
