Fate protects fools, little children, ...

and ships called Enterprise.

I hope I fit into the middle of those three, because I need some protecting.

So here's the deal; Tomorrow morning at 7:30 (Mountain Time) I go in for surgery on my knee. If all goes well I’m looking at a 30 min procedure; not so well, figure an hour. That's the easy part, I'll be asleep. Then I’ll be taken home where I have to keep my leg elevated, ice packed, and I’m sure it’s going to be pretty uncomfortable. Moving around will be assisted by crutches and some help from my son. The next day I’m on my own.

Sometime Friday I’ll be starting with some physical therapy, and I’m pretty sure that’s going to hurt some more. Thursday the 3rd is my follow up appointment. That is where they will give my list of restrictions; what I can do and what I can’t do, for the next 4 to 8 weeks. If I can do mostly sit-down work with no stairs and very little running around, I may be able to return to work around the 7th, but I won’t know for sure until after the appointment on the third.

I’ll keep you posted as to the progress.

Wish me luck
