Hi everyone. I am happy to say that I've begun doing some work on revising the Naruto story I've written. The original story started out with Naruto and I kept having problems because (as many fan fics do) I couldn't adequately explain who Naruto and Jiraiya were. It made some very big assumptions on the part of the reader that they were fanatical devotees to the Naruto manga or series. I've decided about a year ago to fix that so that anyone could pick up the story and read it without confusion...

For the most part the transgendered parts of the story are the same, but with a pretty huge chunk of prequel is being added without the transgendered elements as you would find in any story.

Also, one of the biggest challenges to writing a fan fiction based on a story like Naruto is that the world that Kishimoto has woven is so unbelievably complex and full of technical details that die-hard fans never miss. Even now the latest chapters of the manga confuse the whole nature of the ninja magic known as "jutsu".

I've decided I'm going to just have to break canon in order to make sense of my alternate storyline and go with it. Interestingly enough, if you've followed the latest chapters of the manga, Kishimoto and I seem to share a similar thought on what happens with Kabuto, Orochimaru's underling.

Anyway, before I post or repost any chapters, I will want to make sure I have everything polished to the level of quality that readers here are used to. Maybe it's my die-hard perfectionism, but I'm just that way. :) It's no wonder this story so far has taken around 2 years to write.

Also, on my Ranma fan-fic, I have taken quite a few lumps from comments surrounding the complete breaking of canon. I'm half tempted to rewrite it as a standard transgendered story, keeping the martial arts and the abusive father as archetypes. I'd love to hear feedback.

Thanks for your comments so far and e-mails. I promised I wouldn't abandon these stories, and am sheepishly hoping for your forgiveness.
