A sad passing
ALISON
'of a leading man who would have been a 'Leading Lady' had Miss Monroe not been there, in such a legendary movie.
ALISON
Indeed
He was certainly a star well worth watching but who fell slightly short of 'great' IMO. Certainly his leading lady claim had considerable competition from MM. That's well illustrated by the first shot of Marilyn in 'Some Like it Hot' swaying down the platform to get on the train much to the consternation of Curtis and Lemon in less than convincing drag. He'll be missed but his performances live on.
