I highly recommend it, although Google has a similar method of making content available (and safe) from any computer you can log in with. Drop box is particularly handy, because you can just drag files onto the icon and off they go, winging into cyberspace. When you want them back, you just reach in and pull out a plum or two, like Little Jack Horner.You can even restore past versions. The two Gigabyte account is free, which is about five hundred bucks cheaper than the Apple Time Machine, and Drop Box lets one share folders with specific third parties, so it's easy to set up a collaborative project.

Google Docs can do the same thing, but it's not quite as elegant. Of course, Google Docs has spreadsheets, shared document editors, and other fancy stuff.

Of course, one can also simply mail files to a Google account, but it's not quite as convenient.
