Quote from "Wonder Boys" with Michael Douglas.
This black man asks Trip who is an author... "If you don't know what its about [his draft novel] why did you write it?"
Trip responds... "I couldn't stop."
Haha. Some authors here might answer the same...
Nobody.

Couldn't stop?
I've killed off the narrator twice and had to revive her by public demand. The Bikers enjoy their daily fix and as long as the plotlines keep ocurring, I'll keep spinning them out. I also suspect BC would look a little different without my contributions.

Thats the truth
On all counts.
I'd be lost without my daily bike; its the only real exercise I get.
My day is not complete without it. When Angharad goes on holiday I find myself wandering aimlessly, without purpose.
I need to get a life, right after tonight's bike... really, I promise.
My therapist advised me that I will be okay, she said "take life one day at a time, one bike at a time because no matter how bad things may seem today, Cathy will be there tomorrow so you have so much to look forward to." I believe she may be right. What really got to me was when my minister gave the homily last week he was talking about a purposefl life and he somehow looked straight at me in the front row and said "when you need guidance in difficult times, ask yourself 'What would Cathy do?' ."
Just couldn't stop?
As Angharad says, she's tried to kill Cathy off on at least two occasions back in the early days - and, although the Bike corpus is huge, each individual update is nicely sized.
If you want an author with OCD, head across to the Crystal Hall (home of Whateley Academy) and start investigating Diane Castle... who, despite being the penultimate addition to the Canon Cabal1, has written over 1 million words so far. Her nearest competitor has written under 600,000. Put it this way - her Lit Chix avatar is nicknamed "O C Dee" (although, mercifully, Diane isn't quite as bad as Fractious!)
1. There is no Canon Cabal.

I can't go to bed
without my daily bike. I'd love to be able to ride for real but I suspect you need eyesight for that.
Anyway, you can stick your 'Eastenders', 'Corrie' and 'Neighbours'; we have something much better.
Thanks again, Ang.

Couldn't stop
Couldn’t stop
As another ardent bike fan, I have managed to wean myself off my daily fix. Instead I print off each of the daily episodes and enjoy a weekly wallow on a Sunday morning.
This works for me on many levels, there’s more insight than in any sermon, plus much more fun. There is also the added excuse not to get up just yet and do my ride along the seafront. The only downside is limiting my chance of leaving a comment. Ah well. Many, many thanks Ang for continuing this wonderful saga.
Love to all
