It just isn't fair!

When is "Mommy's Day" ?? Any woman (genetic) can be a "Mother." But it takes someone special to be a mommy. In my household, my wife is the "mother," but readily admits that I have been the "Mommy."

I listened to a sermon today. In it the virtues of being a mommy were extolled. These vitures were assigned to all mothers. But many mothers are incapable of being a mommy; my wife included. Don't mistake me, please. She has performed most of not all of the functions of a mommy, but she never had the right mind set. If one of the children were sick, the Mommy took care of them (me!); when help was needed - a classroom Mommy, I was the one who went. It just happened over and over.

Now many of you know I'm in transition. I just want to share, it was HARD listening to my wife being extolled for her vitures, but it was me that did the work. It was Me who was the Mommy.

It's just not fair! {{pout!}}
