Okay folks, part V of Jacqui is up. And it's a meaty one. So far, Jacqui's life has been pretty sheltered (though hardly uneventful), but now is the big event, a date with a guy. How does a t-girl react?
In this case, it's life changing.
If you like to understand the characters you read about, this is a chapter you'll love. How does a crossdresser decide she might be a (transsexual) woman, or, simply a guy with a feminine side who loves to dress? It's journey we all take by different routes, and we all end up in different places. Here is one journey you can begin to savor.
The narrative and the characters converge in Part V to create something completely new. And this is something I'm so grateful to Karen Anne for - she brought the narrative to a key crossroads and then let me explore the characters as they decided which direction to go.
Nothing is cast in stone yet, not by a long shot, but sometimes you either make decisions or discover things that bring you to a different place. That's where Jacqui will find herself by the end of this chapter.

As I mentioned in my comment following Chapter 4, I am having a hard time with Carla's infidelity to Jacqui/John. It just strikes too close to home! I firmly believe in marriage vows.
That said, I have to admit that it is a very good story... well written and very well crafted. I guess the fact that I just read Chapter 5 points out that you have me hooked! I have to admit that I will stick around for the conclusion

That's my problem, there are almost none. This is a thoughtful story with what I think are some interesting insights into humanity, not to mention transgender folks. No one seems to rising to discuss them. It's downright discouraging!
