Briefly, I want to say that the couple, Vito and Carmella Compangna are very precious to me...They are humble and caring people, both of whom have seen much in their lives, both good and bad. Like many of us, I wish my parents had been so caring and loving, even as I still loved my own Mom and Dad. For me, Vito and Carmella (their names mean Life and Garden) epitomize the following:

Vito and Carmella see past the confusion and even the problems that Sammi has caused for herself, and certainly the hurt she never deserved, but were visited upon her and the family. They love her; not for whom they expect her to be, but how she was created and sees herself. Pure in heart...no conditions, no bias, nothing but unconditional love.
