First, I'd once again like to thank everyone for their prayers and support. My appointment is on Monday in Manhattan, and hopefully the neuro specialist can help me get to the bottom of the tremors I'm experiencing. Things are fairly good with the medication I'm already taking, and perhaps that's all that can be done, but that's okay; it's all in God's and my doctor's hands.
I'd like to make a suggestion regarding what is posted day-to-day. It certainly makes sense to discuss the direction a certain story may be heading, and how the writer may feel about the author's story and characters, i.e. "I was surprised at..." or "(The protagonist)seems so selfish...what was she thinking?" You know, matters of personal taste and issues of style. Perhaps, however, it might be helpful to direct specific issues regarding mistakes and such as a personal message rather than a open comment. This way, the writer can start a dialogue with the author without calling attention to something best left said in private. I believe the blogs should build up and encourage, and while I have not experienced anything negative myself, I have from time to time noted that the minutia of spelling and a misplaced word or two have taken precedence over actually discussing the characters and plot. And please understand, I don't believe any comment has been meant to actually criticize. perhaps the best part of these opportunities is the friendships and encouragement we all have received along the way; I know I certainly have been encouraged and I thank you all for that! God bless everyone and have a terrific weekend! 'drea

Neurology
Drea,
I started having blank spots and 'freezing' three years ago but no-one initially told me. I got to see a Consultant Neurologist two years ago and was diagnosed with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy (Complex Partial siezures). As the symptoms increased I started getting the muscular spasms so I fully understand what you described.
I was put on Lamoctrigine which does work for me. It has a brand name here (UK), but I'll PM you that and the official website. Worth reading.
It took the last two years (and one misdiagnosis by a now struck-off qquack) for me to get day-to-day symptoms at bay. Worth hangin' on.
Take it slow but query what you;re told. If in doubt get a 2nd opinion. I did.
