I cleared this with Erin before I posted it, just to make sure I didn't step on any copyrights or product toes.
Under normal circumstances, I discount 90% of anything an infomercial states about the product they are hawking, but, on a whim, I ordered one of them.
It's called Smooth-Away, and it's a method for removing hair. Well, I figured it wouldn't work, or at least not as well as they advertise it, but guess what?
IT WORKS!!!!!
It even worked on the bristly hairs on my chin and upper lip! Now I know that some of you have undergone electrolysis, so this won't mean much of anything to you, but for the rest, who either can't afford electrolysis, or who don't yet dare to go the permanent hair removal processes, this doggone thing actually does what it says it will do!
On top of that, it helps exfoliate your skin!! There is NO pulling, NO pain, NO yanking or rough treatment of any kind. Just a gentle rubbing motion that really, I swear to God, removes the hair!!
I DID find that it took a bit more time and effort to remove the last vestiges of the bristly hair on my chin and upper lip, but on my arms, my legs, the backs of my hands, even the backs of my fingers and underarms, as well as under my chin, on my neck...Poof! Hair gone.
It costs about 20 bucks, plus shipping and stuff, but as far as I am concerned, it's worth every penny.

Tried it.
Hi Cathy. I tried that smooth away. I got it at CVS for $10. I tried it but I did not see any results. I probaly should have tried it for longer but I do not like all that rubbing on my skin. It's basicly just a fine grade sandpaper. Sorry but I'm just tring to give my honest opinion. I am really happy that you like it and that it has worked out well for you.

Fine Grade Sandpaper???
Well heck, if it's just fine grade sandpaper, why not go to the hardware store and pick up a couple of sheets in different grades at a buck a sheet? If you want to go really cheap, then pick up a sandpaper cleaner block so you can reuse the sandpaper.
Me, I use different grades of sandpaper to polish steel to a mirror finish sometimes. Finicky work, but incredible results when you use a piece of 6,000 grit emery cloth tacked onto a sheet of glass...

I used to be so hairy that the doc called it Hirsuteness, I spent $7000 to have it all burned away with Laser, and it took about three months. The unhappy part is that it did not remove any of the gray hair, and now some of the black hair is returning, but no where near what it was.
I think I will send for it. I still have to shave my face every single day to remove the gray stuff. Was going to try Electrolysis on the face.

I had laser treatments done and I was told that lighter hair does not attract the laser because it only works by reacting to the darker pigment of the hair. I have dark hair, but I had blond hair when I was little. I can't say I was very satisfied with my treatments because most came back a few months later.

I had so much hair before that I could have sold my pelt for a fur coat. What has returned is minor and maybe I'll get it take off again. I think I'll try Cathy's method on my face first because the alternative is Electrolysis, and that is awful. :(.

The most important step according to the instructions is to make sure the skin and hair is clean and dry. The oil on your skin and oily hair will prevent this from working very well.
The trick some people found that works the best is to use an oil and grease removing dish washing liquid and rinse it off completely and letting the hair dry as completely as you can. (Some people just can't wait to try something and only follow the directions to a point they can't wait any longer.)
Light circular motions and NOT hard scrubbing up and down motions!
If you follow these steps you'll find the end results amazing!
