Hello everybody at Top Shelf
Well, I am finally able to write some good news. My dad will be out in a few days. Finally some of his body functions are working. They will start on the soft foods slowly like pudding. I will be driving to Fort Myers Wednesday morning. Obviously I will drive safely within the speed limits.
I will see him later in the afternoon. From what I understand, dad is still dad. That means he has to catch up on his complaining to do. I will spend the 25th with my brother's family while my mom will be at the hospital. I will be able spend some time with him out of the hospital before I leave.
All we have to do is wait for the results of the tests to determine what is going on. He will be out once he regains his strength. He knows he is in bad shape. His diet will change to his dismay.
Thank you for all of your prayers. I will be back in town on Friday, January 2nd.
Take care everyone. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Rachel

Rachel,
I'll continue to pray for you AND him - you for a safe trip, him for healing.

I guess that then qualifies as a Merry Christmas! Praying that the good news continues for you.
