Well maybe!
I've been back in Brizzle for five days now and i'm slowly getting back into some sort of routine, something that i just never managed whilst i was oop north. Don't get me wrong, its not that i need a fixed routine but without any real framework to the days and weeks i sort of lose track of my life so even a basic 'ride on Tuesday' gives me more focus.
So what have i been up to? Well on Sunday i did eventually get out for a short ride, just 60km in the area loosely known as Berkeley Vale to the north of Bristol. It was a pleasant enough ride, nothing too exciting and most importantly, i felt better for doing it. Once back it was cooking time, Toad in the hole with garden veggies was filling and almost a proper Sunday dinner!
Monday - well i needed more food in the cupboard so that was my main job of the day. I tried getting into writing gear but it wasn't happening, i'm really annoyed because i was in full flow before my stint as nursemaid. We finished the Toad for tea followed by a fruit crumble courtesy of Aunty Bev and the garden soft fruits - rhubarb, raspberries, blackcurrants and gooseberries - with cusrtard of course!
Tuesday - yep, riding day and with wet forecast late afternoon i got myself out a bit earlier for a ride down onto and along the Mendip. It was warm enough but quite grey, rain threatened but in the end i was literally across the road from the house before there was any precipitation. 100km but just 870m of up foe my troubles.
I also started to fulfill my promises both here and on Patreon re my appearance, new piercings and hair colour, starting with taking my dirty blonde up to almost white! I must admit that the piercings won't be to everyones taste, but i like them which is what counts! The colour dye, as close a match as i could make it, thats Flamingo pink and Tangerine, arrived today and so, after two separate sessions, my hair is now done complete with re-cut fringe/bangs. So here is the inspiration again alongside my take!
So what do you think? my bangs are actually below my eyebrow level, they are just curled a bit in the pic. Whatever, i'm stuck with it for a bit, i think it looks okay, certainly a bit, er, different.
Well that's it for now, i'll be back at the weekend!
