She's got guts
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Rosy ODonald try and she blew it also. That is not a song for the musical scale challenged.

Blowing It
Oh, I'm sure that others have blown it as well. (I once blew "Over the Rainbow" during a Karaoke night -- my key smoothly rose about a fourth from start to end.) Here, we're talking about a faction that demands respect for the Flag and similar representations of certain aspects of our government.
I'm now reminded of Professor Schickele and the first PDQ Bach concert at Carnegie Hall. He'd written "Iphigenia in Brooklyn", and was planning to sing the solo ("Bargain Counter Tenor") part. Instead, the concert producers had him audition, then deciding that they wanted a "real singer". John Ferrante gave the part his own extra-perverse twist, making it literally his own. The rest of his life, he became THE bargain counter-tenor of the PDQ Bach troupe.
Here, they should have had a Real Singer. But I suppose they had to make do.
