I'm a huge Terry Brooks fan, I've read everything in the Shannara series and most of his other works. He's an absolutely incredible author and its good to know that he's a nice person too. I can also totally relate with his comment :)

I never really got strongly into the Shanara series. I don't know why, the writing was good and I liked that type of book.
The Landover series, on the other hand, I REALLY enjoyed.

A lot of people are put off by Sword of Shannara because it's so similar to LOTR. I actually started with Elfstones which is the book that hooked me.
