Raised by an abusive mother who took every opportunity to tell me how worthless I was, I know what it's like to grapple with those sort of feelings. It took a long time for me to discover my own self worth. I strongly urge you to seek out a therapist. It's one of the best things I ever did for myself. Just having someone to talk to, and voice those feelings helped me work through them and the prescription anti-depressants helped too. It gets better, believe me.

Have delightfully devious day,

It wouldn't have caused an issue

Unless concern, worry, well-meaning advice and a lot of "Hey I've been there too" are your definition of an issue. It's okay to talk about personal stuff, personal feelings and negative self-image (complete with voices telling you "Youre useless!") here. At least I've never seen anyone shunned and ostracized here because they aren't in a good place emotionally and just had to vent...

Sometimes you just need someone to talk to.

It takes a good heart to be that person too. I was with a Doctorate Psychologist for over 10 years and one day realized she was trying to remake me to the image she liked. That was the end of it.

Now I see a BA Social Worker once a month and she is a good listener and does not try to 'manage' me. Much better.

Hope you get to feeling better.
