This morning I had things to do and wanted to enjoy a 10 -20 minute read of a complete story before starting them. I read a synopsis of one and there was nothing in it to indicate it was anything other than a complete story, although length was not indicated. I read it within my time frame but found it to be what certainly seemed to be the first part of a multi-part story. If this was indeed the author's intent, I wish she/he had indicated it as such.
Accurate synopsis, please.

I had exactly the same problem with your blog. After spending ten to twenty minutes reading it I was left wondering if it was part of a serial. When will we find out the author's intent? What a great cliffhanger! (Which begs the question, what had Cliff done to deserve a good hanging?)
If I don't know if the writing is a serial or not, how do I know if I should dislike it?

I thought I was clear.
To me, an accurate synopsis would tell the length of the piece and whether the piece was a complete story or only a chapter of a longer story. At the time I mentioned, I did not want to read just a part of a story, and rhe synopsis of the story I was writing about, by saying nothing, led me to believe it was complete - I assumed (yes, I know that's dangerous.) that complete was the default and if the story had been only a chapter, the story synopsis or title would have told me so. I think the synopsis should tell the length and say either complete or serial chapter or part whatever (the latter could be added to the title instead).
