I'm looking for stories that have happy endings, romance and very little or (preferably) no violence.
I'm not having a good time the last few weeks and I'd like to read stories that are light and cheerful.
Please no erotica, stories can have sex but nothing explict.
Hope others are having better weeks than me
Love Hotaru.

I'd like to add

to the list that Dawn has for exceptions to SaraUK's storys

Vengeance For Hannah and Lipstick And Lead

two of mine

You might want to try "Betty's achievement" or "The wardrobe mistress."

Hugs,
Monique.

Mine?

Most people say my stories are feel good ones. But I warn you, Chapter 1 of A Second Chance is rough. But the next 48 (so far) are really sweet.

How soft?

BarbieLee's picture

I'm thinking there are a ton of authors here who meet your criteria.
Angela Rasch wrote a Texas story Texas Two Step was soft https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/fiction-17
Not sure the links will work but look up the author
The Professor wrote several Deity Arms stories
Shauna wrote Amadeus Irina which has a happy ending in spades
There are so many excellent authors it is impossible to name them all and I mean no slight to any one of them.

Alecia Snowfall's picture

I recommend:
And that's the way it happened - Paula Dillon
Mississippi Bee Queen - Paula Dillon
Bears Know Best - TiffanyShar
The Scoobies Do - Jennifer Sue (whacky humor warning)

quidquid sum ego, et omnia mea semper; Ego me.
alecia Snowfall

and we can't forget

that truly fantastic snowfall story on Amazon, Frills.
yes it has some violence, more in backstory than in the current, but it is definitely a feel good happy story overall.

The Stations Late Night Princess also.
with some violence but not as severe as many stories.

Stupidity is a capital offense. A summary not indictable.

I have all of Alecia's

Hotaru Lind's picture

I have all of Alecia's stories from Amazon but Late Night Princess while good would probably trigger me. Frills and Venture Realm I re-read only a month ago so to soon for me to read again :(

Thanks everyone for helping.

Thanks everyone for helping. I need stories that have a happy hopeful tone so a lot of these should help.
I had a nightmare, almost a night terror, a few weeks ago and it was extremely realistic and was very close to some of my fears which triggered a panic attack so I'm hoping that lighter stories will help and a least let me get out of the house.

At the risk of blowing my own trumpet!

most of mine have no violence especially the Solo stories.
If there is violence, it is being recalled at a later date and not happening during the story.
As for rumpy-pumpy... I find being explicit and not being crude very hard to write so there is little explicit sex in my stories.

Recommendations

Summerswitch by Maeryn Lamonte

Boys' School by Sarah Lynn Morgan

The Trouble With Kacey by Mona Lisa

You're Beautiful by MysteriousStranger

Beer Run by Paula Dillon (Sweet story of romance, but follows to end of a long fruitful lifetime so the ending is bitter sweet.)

Megan Cambell's

Sara Carrera set
https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/book/16505/sarah-carerra

all 3 stories.
fit the described requirements outside of 1 kick to her leg in the first part.

Kat Walker's Secondhand life
https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/book-page/64789/secondhand-life
for pure comedy. even the 1 violent scene if pure slapstick comedy. ( riding a tiger shark like a rodeo rider does a bull )
I frequently reread it just for the tears of laughter it causes.

Try any of Stacy InLove's stories

I think you'd find her entire compendium on Fictionmanis going back ten years readily fits your definition of reading needs, and they are free.

Plus, Stacy published a 900 page novel on Amazon this year called "A Rose in the Cracks" that's amazing and a bargain for five bucks.

The only danger in her new novel is you might need a few Kleenex and have to occasionally cheer out loud as you read.

One of mine

It is pretty much without violence.

'Sunlight and Shade'.

Looking at Ones I've Saved...

...over the years -- most from the 1990s or early 2000s -- I'd include just about everything by Samantha Michelle that's on StorySite. (And the complete version of Samantha's "I Am Not Alone" on Ellen Hayes's site, if you're familiar with the Tuck characters.)

Emmie Dee's "Aw, Come On...".

Angharad's "Totally Insane" series. (No romance there, though.)

Many of Ricky's stories here: "Blooming Under the Rose", "The Bell Curve", "Grandma and the Bear"/"Sister and the Bear" (minor warning: the sister in the title starts out the story very depressed), some newer ones as well. (Ricky's stories elsewhere do include some erotica, so if you're on StorySite or FM, watch out for X ratings.)

Starhawk's "Down Under Odyssey", on StorySite.

Valentina Michelle Smith's "Jury Duty".

Romance Stories

Melanie Brown's picture

Most of my stories fall into this category. Though I do have a few that get down and dirty.

Melanie

Light, romantic, coming of age

That is the type of stories I have published on Amazon. Check out the free previews.
The stories are nice enough that younger readers can feel comfortable as well as adults.

Its fun seeing all the different authors talking about their own works.
