What is the difference in the terms "Boi" and "Gurl"?

What is the difference in the terms "Sissy" and "Nancy-Boy"?

Comments

No idea about the first two.

No idea about the first two. Nancy-boy is just more old fashioned. Just as much as an insult decades past. Might be a more polite way for people not knowing the proper terms but not sure about that.

Definitions

Be aware that these are the definitions as I understand them.

Boi: a crude term for a pre-operative female-to-male transsexual. Generally, a "boi" generally is easily identified as having a female body, despite their desire to look masculine. May or may not be fertile as a female.

Gurl: antonym of "boi". A crude term for a pre-operative male-to-female transsexual. Less likely to be "read" as having a male body, and may or may not be fertile as a male. Is likely to already have had breast augmentation surgery. There are some, however, who embrace the term as a means of identification.

"Sissy": A generally derogatory term for a male that acts in a feminine manner. May also be used for a male who appearance is quite feminine, yet may or may not act feminine. Nevertheless, there is a sub-culture that embraces the term.

"Nancy-boy": A less commonly used term for a young male that acts in a feminine manner. While the opposite term "tomboy" has less negative connotations, "nancy-boy" is still seen as a derogatory term.

What about the term 'Fanboi'?

That does not seem to fit in with your definition of 'boi'.

I think 'boi' is a derrivation of the word 'boy' when used in derrogoratoy terms like slave owners used to do to slaves and even today, people in certain parts of the USA use to people the think are lesser being than themselves. I've even had it spoken to me when I was much younger.

widely used terms

so their meaning varies widely.

Sissy: pretty set, a very fem acting male, almost always a submissive, at list when in "sissy mode" some do "play" at being more dominant in "normal" society, work, etc

Nancy-boy: same as sissy as far as i have ever heard, but more used in england/europe than the US, in my personal experience/knowledge

Gurl: Pre-op Trans, Male to Female. sometimes used for transvestites (cross dressers who involve sex as part of their female personae, and yes i do realize some find the word offensive, but as there isnt another i have ever heard of, because NOT all cross dressers involve sex in their roles, hence the separate name for that sub group) who are submissive in a sexual relationship, being the "girl" as it were

Boi:(this is from wikipedia as i have seen so many usages, and i had never heard of it being used by lesbians, but then i am not in that group)

Boi (plural: bois) is a term used to describe someone as being (Lit),[1][2] In lesbian communities, there is an increasing acceptance of variant gender expression, as well as allowing people to identify as a boi.[3][4][5] The term may denote a number of possibilities that are not mutually exclusive:[6]

1. A "boi" is (generally) the younger person who prefers older partners, and is the "boi" in a "daddy and boi" dating, relationship, or sexual situation, where "boy" and "boi", respectively, are used to differentiate between someone who is underage, and someone who just identifies as the younger who wants or needs someone older. In this context, "boi" can be masculine or effeminate, or anywhere along that spectrum, and some males identify as a "boi" well beyond their 20s, and especially so long as they are involved with older men. Often, though not always, a "boi" prefers a submissive role.[citation needed]

2. A younger person, possibly embodying stereotyped attributes towards casual sex and commitment in relationships, in contrast with the stereotype of the U-Haul lesbian. Bois may not identify as butch, regarding butches as playing a more powerful or responsible role – the "man of the house" – while a boi is still in a freer, younger phase.

3. A submissive butch in the BDSM community, or a younger butch in the butch-femme community.[7]

4. A young trans man, or a trans man who is in the earlier stages of transitioning.[7]

5. A term of endearment for butches by femmes. It may also be used in the gay community to refer to a younger person – bisexual or gay – who may have effeminate characteristics. The term can also be used by anyone who wishes to distinguish from heterosexual or heteronormative identities.[7]

same as everyone else, except the wiki entry, just my personal experience, but you should get the idea.

Fag has two other meanings

1) is a slang word for Cigarette. You would nip out for a Fag.
2) is what you did as a right of passage in English/Britich Public Schools. Young boys 'Fagged' for a senior one. Something like a 'gofer' but worse in modern parlance.
Read 'Tom Brown's Schooldays' for an account of the worst sort of 'fagging'..

Remember that Gay before it was subverted meant happy.

Because the english language is so diversly spoken (and evolved differently) there are often conflicts between the meaning of a word in different parts of the world.

others

I am aware of other definitions. I chose the one that was relevant to what was being discussed.

I'm told STFU more times in a day than most people get told in a lifetime

Boi (another language another meaning)

In Portuguese "Boi" means bull (and cattle in general). A slightly different meaning.
