Was with my 9 year old today when some lady near us said, "Oh my god that's a man in a dress!"

I couldn't help but smile when my little 3rd grader looked at the lady and said, "Maybe he's transgendered?" Defending the stranger.

I was unaware she even knew the term.

My daughters are my biggest and most ardent defenders.. had a lady be rude to me a while back.. here I am, coming from church in skirt/blouse combo wearing my fav heels which put me at 6'4... my two daughters ages 16, and 17 stood in between me and her and told her exactly where she could put her opinion..

Much love
Rebecca.

I know I’m weird. The fact that I’m trans is probably one of the more normal things about me.

Sounds like you've got a wonderful little girl there.....

That always reflects well on the parenting. I would say you've done a wonderful job.

I know I have tried to be better than my parents, and I hope I haven't screwed my kids up too much. The oldest two have turned into wonderful young men, but I worry about my youngest. He is a very smart, very athletic, and very handsome young man - but he is also the one who has had the most difficulty with my transition.

Add in the fact that he found out his girlfriend of several years was cheating on him - repeatedly - and he has had a very rough several years. He's a good boy and I hope he works through things. I have done everything I can think of to help him, but he has become distant. He changed from the closest of my three to the most distant - and yeah, it hurts just to think about it.

I know you'll never read this Caleb, but I love you so much!
