It is funny that it took a scientific research :-)
Everybody knows that cats are predators. And when you supplement their diet of rodents and birds (even though 99% of domestic cats are unable to catch a rodent, not mentioning catching bird) with cat food, your cat will appreciate it. And unlike humans, cats don't take their food for granted like humans tend to do :-)
