In a recent blog I posted a picture of a sign that turned up next to the restroom signs proclaiming that restrooms were open to use by gender variant people. Just now, I was delivered a document (electronically) a document that contains their nondiscrimination notice, quoted below.

Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest (Kaiser Health Plan) complies with applicable federal and state civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Kaiser Health Plan does not exclude people or treat them differently because of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation:
I think I'm liking Kaiser more and more all the time.

I think it is outstanding that they have done this…….
But what I like better is that my state of residence protects my right to use the restroom appropriate to my gender identity by law.
On February 24, 2019, New York State passed the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA), amending the New York State Human Rights Law. Under GENDA, it is unlawful to refuse someone access to a single-sex restroom, or other single-sex facilities, appropriate to their gender identity.
In other words, it is illegal in New York State to prohibit a transgender person from using the appropriate restroom which corresponds with their gender identity. We don’t need signs on the doors telling us that.

But I'll take small victories where ever I can get them. I still remember feeling the need to keep one pair of men's underwear for when I needed to go to the doctor. It's only been about 7 or 8 years that I've been out to my doctors.
So to see Kaiser proclaiming in writing that they will not discriminate because of my gender identity or expression is a big deal to me. Mind you, I've been using the women's room for about the same length of time I've been out to my doctors.
