Change happening every now and then?

I was thinking of a story of temporary sex change--see my other post. A boy/adult men visits his uncle/a distant relative. One thing leads to another and he wants/or is told to become a girl with female body parts. Yet he doesn't want to to miss his life back home. They search around and find a doctor/surgeon who can perform surgical changes that are not permanent. At the end of the stay, the boy is reverted back to his male parts and returns home. Then ever summer he heads back to his uncle/relative and gets changed into a girl until he makes his decision which life he wants to live.

I know from research medical operations cannot create temporary sex change but what do you think of this plot? I go this idea after reading the stories "A Life Ever Changing" and "I can't go home like this.".

Sounds Good

Sounds good. But I suspect you'll have your work cut out making these surgical changes seem plausible. If I were you I'd trawl the net for sites that specialise in post-human and cyborg-type speculation. If nothing else they'll supply you with some of the vocabulary you'll need to carry this off.

Best of luck with it.

Ban nothing. Question everything.

Good, but not entirely new

I've been wracking my brain since I read your last post trying to remember the story where something similar was done. No go. Just can't bring it up. What they did was to press the testicles up inside as some do when tucking and trap the penis in the folds of the scrotum and suture the fold so as to give the appearance of a feminine vulva.

For breasts, saline breast implants could be used. I know that it's possible to implant the sack from under the arm and add saline a little at a time so that the skin over the breast can grow (stretch) slowly so, in theory some could be extracted when returning to boy mode and replaced the next time.

If this wasn't surgery it might be easier. A least more options

You could use a shape shifter as you protagonist.

There IS high tec sci-fi possibilities too. IE alien tech crash-lands on Earth.

A number of writers here have used it. Heck *I* used something in that line way back in a contest here in. It involved military surplus radio/radar parts accidently linking to a alien signal.

Though surgery could work in a Jules Verne kinda context.

Or say The Island of Dr Mourow or whatever was the name of that man who experimented on animals and men.

The tricky bit is you want this easily revered and not necessarily permanent.

There is the old trope of the scientist has access to some rare plant/chemical that makes it possible. Or even a Jekyll and Hyde formula. But then you are getting close to magic, maybe.

A Body swap would be right out unless someone has perfected a reversible and flawless brain transplant surgery and is willing to offer it on the cheep to test it.

And who would be willing to swap for a limited time? A woman fleeing the law or a bad relationship?

You have set your self a narrow path but maybe that is good. Might be easier to say on it...unlike myself.

"Forced Feminization" stories. [ not free, pay for ebooks ]
a lot use a gaf to hide the dangly bits.
some have used a surgical procedure that pushed them inside, with no removal of parts / bruising or even general anesthetic for the temporary change. [ though the recipient always chooses to make it permanent ]

if the mc is young enough to start with, no need to worry about breasts at first, then glued on "real breasts" can be used when they become needed.

edit to add:
the actual breast forms "real breasts" are at the very bottom of that page. [ and that company is local to me. ;) ]

Stupidity is a capital offense. A summary not indictable.
