Book Page?

Forums:

Ok, so I'm a newb to this site. I've just posted my second story here, and I now see that I have 3 items posted under stories. One is a book page, and just features my name in large bold letters. Just curious to know what it is. Thanks.

Book Page and so on

Hi there,
if you think in terms of libraries aka directories, and sub-libraries/directories - then your Book Page is the boss library/directory. You can create your own sub-directories and then file your stories in those. Of course, you may not want sub-directories, so you can store your work directly in the upper directory - the 'Boss' directory.

How do you do that?

Easy-peasy.

When you create your fiction piece, there is an entry box near the bottom (called Book Outline). You click on that, scroll through until you find the one that has your name, and select that. The system then stores it there.....
If you have created sub-directories, then a few seconds after clicking on your name, the sub-directories appear in a drop-down menu.

Author book page

So if I'm understanding that right, if an author doesn't fill that box they won't have a book page that I can bookmark to see all their stories?

No

In reality, staff and volunteers will take care of doing this for most authors. This is just how to do it if you want to do it for yourself.

Hugs,
Erin

Thanks and one last question

I don't know if I'm just not finding it in the FAQ or I'm blind but for authors who do have a book page I can't seem to find the path to navigate to it.

Thank you I tremendously appreciate this site and the stupidly enormous amount of time it takes to make it run so well.
