When you're logged in, click on the 'Create Content' link in the bar to the left. Select 'Fiction' from the menu that loads. Then put your title, and "New Author" and any of the other options that appeal to you (to select more than one from the same menu, hold CTRL while selecting). Then enter your story into the big textbox -- copy & paste is probably best. Select Preview, and you'll see what it looks like before posting as both the cut-off blurb and the full version. You can decide where the end of the blurb goes by inserting "[!--break--]" where you want it to be, only use '>' brackets instead of ']' brackets.
