Sorry but I'm done for now. I'm tired of writing. I write for a bit but as the story goes along I get bored with it. Sorry to anyone who was counting on me to finish things but I don't want to finish a thing anymore.

Rest up please.

I know what burn out feels like. Rest and be well, OK?

take a break, read play games watch movies. do what you need to take care you yourself, the muse may come back.
take care

You are importent.

Take care of your self and your wonderous muses. I love your work and I am compelled to read every thing you post. But you need to care for your self first and the rest will follow.

Good Advice To Aspiring Writers

I know this place. I'm familiar with its pubs, its post offices, its hairdressing salons, its butchers and bakers, its grocer shops, ironmongers and electrical stores, its plazas, squares and public open spaces.

Your muse will return. I can feel mine emerging with the ridiculous imagery I employ to put over a simple point. She craves expression, to be recognised and rewarded. Even if in the end it's all fluff.

Take care to avoid the heavy stuff
I give up, this literature is fluff
Trawled through sketches of notes the night before
Chased the baffled employees floor to floor
Hung a 'do not disturb' on glass swing doors

Fabled diaries written to be read
Creaking uprights ring through Nissen sheds
You are clearly a man of influence
Your collectable tales do so impress
Now the world can enjoy your savvy sense

This poor devil does not want to be
An out of habit radio MC
And he sensed the unease, the Governor's worse
Treated baffled colonials rhyme and verse
Now I will not expect that visit first

Ban nothing. Question everything.

Sorry to hear this

I am sorry to hear this as you are a very creative writer but with all the stories you wrote I understand ;-(

No Stress. It's Just A Hobby.

Hey, if it doesn't work for you, it doesn't work. It's not like you're getting paid for any of this, anyway. Lose the guilt. That's the worst part -- feeling like you owe someone, or yourself, something that you're just not interested in doing anymore. You don't.

You started writing something because you felt like it. For fun. For self-edification. For whatever. It didn't work out. Not everything works out, you have to accept that. Or maybe it did work out, and you got all you're going to get out of it already. Tell yourself it's okay. Really. It's okay. Everyone still loves you.

Someday, you may feel like writing something again. Something entirely different. Or painting. Or learning fly-tying. Go with it. Have fun. Enjoy what you do and find things you enjoy. Don't be overly critical of yourself. It's all learning, playing, creating, being human. In the big scheme of things, you don't get graded on the quality of the end-product, but on the quality and growth of your spirit.

take a break hon.

we promise to still be here when you're ready to get back at them.

I am sorry to hear of your problem

But I will always treasure the stories you have written for BC:TS. They are some of my very favourite.

Thanks for all you have done and I hope (partly selfishly) that you are able to write again in the future.

stories

don't worry about your stories, when your ready to come back we'll be here. the first thing you got to worry is your self everything else can go on the back burner. just be safe and take care of your self.

I'll miss you.

Thank you for all of the enjoyment you have given me and others.

Burnout is a bitch. There I was feeling burnt out on my therapy practice in Colorado and not knowing what to do. So I transitioned and moved to Florida and lived on my sailboat.

Bit drastic, I know.

Please take care of you.

Joani

PS You don't have to be quite so drastic. ;-}

Save your works in progress...

...just in case you get inspired to continue them at some indeterminate point in the future :)

There's little point in writing if it seems to be a chore - read (and comment on!) other people's stories, do other activities, and generally just wait until inspiration hits you. When it does, bear in mind you don't have to write twenty chapter monsters - two page shorts or even drabbles will be snapped up just as readily :)

It surprise me.. but I have

It surprise me.. but I have to agree with the rest.. no point of going on if you feel exhausted. Charged up and refresh.. and know that your fan love you.. Cheers.
