Just for those that are interested, Bill has been home with me for the last month and a half, close to two months.

I've been providing 24/7 care by myself, shuffling him to doctors, and dialysis and hospital as needed.

Last Wednesday, or maybe it was Friday, (I'm having trouble keeping track of what day it is), Bill was admitted into the South Jersey Regional Medical Center (SJRMC). I was trying to get him into the Car to take him to the ER as he wasn't feeling well, when he fell (Softly, I was able to let him down easily, but I can't dead lift his weight when he goes down). He wasn't able to stand back up, even with my assistance, so I ended up calling 911 and I assisted them getting him onto the gurney and they took him straight to the ER.

He was admitted into the main hospital from the ER after they did two blood cultures and they came back positive for an infection, which is bad, as it means the infection is in the blood. They also x-rayed his chest and found that there was a "slight pneumonia".

The Infection Doctor at SJRMC said it wasn't a particularly aggressive infection, but it was a staph infection that is a product of "foreign objects inserted in the body". Well bill has a few of these, including Stents, Pacemaker, and his Dialysis Catheter.

They have removed the dialysis catheter once, and re located it, due to infection so instead of doing this a 2nd time, I got them to dig a little deeper.

The infection is apparently attached to the guide wire for the pacemaker.

As a result, tonight after his Wednesday Dialysis, he was transferred to Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia where they installed the current pacemaker and they are more equipped to replace and fix anything that needs to be. Also, I have much more faith in the Philadelphia Hospitals than I do the ones here in South Jersey.

So on the good side, Bill is in a hospital I generally trust and getting the care he needs, on the bad side, it's not a good thing to have any kind of septic infection, especially one originating from a device currently located in the heart.

I've also been talking with Bill's Lawyer/Power of Attorney, his Sister, and other Friends and Family, and we are all of the consensus that Bill needs to be admitted into a full time Nursing home, as I'm just not capable of caring for him anymore.

From here on out, it's a guessing game as to what comes next. I'm not sure if we will be required by bankruptcy courts, or even medicaid, to sell the house, and if we are required then I will need to find a new place to live.

On a side note, I'm going to be out of town this weekend. We (Sapphire, Erin, Bob's Sister and Myself) completed the last bit of work we can do remotely to save the sites, and I need to go up to Cannastota NY to recover the last of the data, along with some of the hardware.

Whilst I'm up that way, I hope to pop in on a couple friends if I can find the means (it adds about 300 miles to the total trip, which is a full tank of gas). Since camp in May, I've only left the house to go to the hospital, dialysis or the doctors, and occasionally the grocery store. Whilst I'm quite saddened that my friend passed away, I'm not gonna lie and say I'm not happy to be getting the opportunity to drive upstate and get out of the house for a few days.

A couple friends have asked if they could help out, and I'll say this here. If you have and can spare a few $$ to help me out, just PM me or email PiggilyTails @ Gmail.Com (no spaces) and I will give you my paypal info. I'm not asking for money, but if it comes in, it will help.
