Fifteen Thousand Stories and Counting

Earlier this morning we passed 15,000 stories/chapters on site and are currently adding new story postings at a rate of 90 to 150 a week. This is 2 to 5 times as fast, on average, as the next most active TG fiction website, Fictionmania, which has more than 18,000 tales/chapters in its archive. We ARE catching up. :)

Thanks to all the authors and editors who contribute their efforts and thanks to all the commenters and readers who encourage the authors.

Passing Fancy

It will be a wonderful day in the not too distant future when BC passes FM. Although, from a quality standpoint BC has left FM in the dust years ago -- from day one in my opinion.

Silly question

From one who posts interminable sagas....but what defines a story? Is an episode, for this data, a story (so 'Ride On' is 103 stories) or is it a completed event (so that 'Bike' is one story)?

Chapter

A chapter is a story in this sense, both FM and BC count postings rather than completed stories. It would be really hard to work out a way to count only one for a multi-posting story. And it would be ambiguous.

I've posted over seventy stories (several have been "un-posted"), Angharad seems to have posted a measly twenty-six.

Does that make me queen? Queen of the hill until someone knocks me down. I'm sure several others have posted more single stories than I have.

I counted eleven stories to my name, but when I check for the 'metastory' linking, it comes down to five.

...is for a handful of reputable third party sources to reference us, then we'll be officially notable enough to warrant an encyclopaedic entry (and possibly one with fewer issues than the entry for that site)... :)

Well... the big advantage

Well... the big advantage that this site has is that the stories have a higher quality. At fictionmania there is way to much trashy porno fetish stuff. That is cool if you like it, but it really sucks if you're searching for a good story and only find trahsy fetish fuel ^^
There are some good storise there though :D
