A peculiar noise woke me this morning -- the sound of snow sliding off the carport roof. We had about two inches of snow last night. It's bright and sunny now and well above freezing so the fluffy white stuff is not going to last till noon but I'm sure the people in the ski resorts on the mountains would rather have it up there than down here. :)

Hugs,
Erin

Snowed here yesterday,

laika's picture

a light dusting of powder that left me temporarily craving a white-sugared donut. It dried, and then last night it hailed a bit (Some people like rain, some like snow, does anyone like hail?). The quails, the cherry blossoms on the trees didn't seem sure what hit them. Wasn't even enough to keep us from having to water today or to make us regret putting the snow shovels back under the house last week. The earth continues to tilt in the good direction, although maybe not good for our southern hemisphere friends, unless they're looking forward to the Mt. Ruapehu ski season...
~~hugs, Laika

Snow?

Thought that you lived in California where snow is a FOUR-LETTER-WORD. LOL.

Weather

Funnily enough it's been the exact opposite kind of weather here in the UK - sun, sun, sun!

The temperature reached 19°C (66°F) today, and it's still 14.7°C (58°F) outside now - 9:35pm BST and dark outside (unsurprisingly!)
