I have been working for some time on The Cynthia Chronicals - Volume 2. One of the stories in the series is completed; however, it was written out of sequence and must wait for other stories to be written before it can be published. I need someone who is golf knowledgeable to read my current effort that should be finished within the week. It is written around Bobbie Anderson (nee Schmedlap) who is Cyndy's best friend, so it would be very helpful if the reader was familiar with the previous stories in the series. It will probably be in the neighborhood of 35 - 40,000 words, as is the completed story. This is not about editing. I just need someone who understands the game to comment on my telling of the tale. If we can write about football(soccer), I think golf will find its place, too.

All help appreciated.

A Little Birdie Told Me.

A good golf story is like a good hairbrush story, it will find its audience.

Which reminds me. . .I never did finish that story about the CDing, 6'7" basketball player. The protagonist is a young man in the NBA who loves to dye his hair. Later on he decides to go all out. He calls a press conference to promote his biography and shows up in a bridal gown! Just for the fun of it I have him playing on a championship team with Michael Jordan, so it's set in the late 80's and 90's. This cross-dressing basketball star can't shoot at all. He's a defense specialist who is such a great rebounder he still is given a starting position. In my story I place him in an affair with Madonna and actually married to Carmen Electra. For the fun of it, after he fouls out of basketball I have him team up with Hulk Hogan in pro-wrestling, where his cross-dressing is considered almost acceptable.

The trouble is, it's all so unbelievable. I've tried to write this a million times, but have finally given up. I guess the story of Dennis/Denise will never be told.

Oh -- here's a idea. I'll have Phil Jackson, the current Laker's coach, be his coach in the pros. And . . . I'll have Phil Jackson be my brother's college roommate. Nope -- no one would ever believe that.
